Direct Broadcast Satellite Mini-Dish Systems – az technology

Has your satellite provider recently told you that you can’t receive ABC, CBS, Fox or NBC from outside your local area? Were you told you were ineligible because you live within the “Grade B signal area” of one or more network affiliates?

A relatively new development in the world of television distribution is Direct Broadcast Satellite, also referred to as Direct-To-Home TV. Direct broadcast satellite systems are commonly known to be mini-dish systems.

DBS ascertains satellite providers that only paying subscribers have access to PayTV, but also allows Free to Air channels to be viewed, even by the people who are equipped with standard receivers without conditional access modules.

Because of the recently passed Satellite Home Viewer Improvement Act, many network TV stations will only review requests submitted by the satellite carrier. For your best chance at getting a waiver, contact your satellite carrier.

Billing Issues with my Cell phone provider – az technology

I have had lots and lots of billing issues with Telus, a national telecommunications company in Canada. For months Telus tried to charge me for every text message I received. I’d always call up and say, you charged me for incoming text messages yet I am also paying for unlimited incoming text messages. They would reply with, oh great we will fix it. This went on for a couple months then it starting not charging me. Great I thought. A couple months go by and other minor things came up.

Then the shocker. This month I looked at my bill and was wondering why it was so high. Surely I didn’t talk $259 worth of extra minutes. So after spending some time looking at my bill, I noticed again I was being overcharged for again something stupid. Although I was paying for the unlimited evenings & weekends. I was not receiving the unlimited evenings & weekends. So a quick call to Telus left me saddened that they really tried to rip me off.

While they said they could not refund me the overage charges I was charged for calls after 6pm, they did kindly offer to credit me the $5. I was charged for unlimited evenings and weekends.

After I laughed at him and told him I am not paying for their error he kindly mentioned it could not refund it for a couple days.
